“La plaza” is the name given to the weekly outdoor market held every Tuesday. We walked around for an hour buying groceries along the way. We bought some salmon which Ines later cooked and served with potatoes. Instead of taking a nap during siesta, Amissa and I decided to explore the city. Ines warned us that everything would be closed and the streets would be empty. We walked to the west end of the city where the city’s main church, Iglesia de Santiago, is located. From there we walked to the east end to purchase groceries at the Mercadona. We returned to Ines’ apartment. Soon after, we joined four of Ines’ friends for paddle. Paddle is an up and coming sport resembling tennis. In this sport you use a small wooden paddle and you’re allowed to hit the ball off the walls. After paddle, we went to Ines’ handball training. We stayed for a bit and then headed to the apartment to end our night.
