Piso Hunting

September 24th, 2012

Our first mission Monday morning was to get me a prepaid phone service. I committed to Yoigo. I paid €20 for a SIM card which also came with €20 worth of service. We walked out of the door with a voice and data plan. The data plan disappeared after an hour.

Thanks to Ines’ friend, we had one lead for an available flat. We called the landlady, Cande, and set up a visiting time. Amissa and I arrived at the flat. Cande was very proud of her flat and offered it for €400/month. The flat was really nice. I was reluctant to commit since it was the first flat we saw in the city. We told her we were interested but wanted to see more flats. She told us anything else we saw would not compare to her flat. Amissa fell in love with the place.

That was it.
